Pilot service
The pilot assembly was replaced and the fireplace was tested through a complete operating cycle.
This ventless fireplace had a pilot-related operating problem. Pilot replacement restored operation at first, but the customer called the following day when the symptom returned. A follow-up visit and deeper electrical testing identified the ground connection as the remaining intermittent fault.
The first service visit focused on the pilot system because the ignition and flame-sensing symptoms pointed there. After the pilot assembly was replaced, the fireplace operated normally during the initial test.
When the customer reported that the problem returned the next day, we came back and continued the diagnostic path. The issue was not treated as another pilot failure. Wiring, connections, grounding, and the control circuit were checked under operating conditions.
The follow-up testing traced the intermittent operation to a compromised ground wire. Correcting that connection stabilized the system, and the fireplace has operated without the reported problem since the repair.
The pilot assembly was replaced and the fireplace was tested through a complete operating cycle.
When the symptom returned, the wiring and ground path were tested instead of replacing the same component again.
The ground-wire fault was corrected, removing the intermittent interruption in the control circuit.
